And it worked. Our recent e-mail blast for Del Terruño announced to web customers the opportunity for free shipment of beef orders; the e-mail included a one-time coupon and explained how to use it. 

 

Before we give you our results, here’s some background. According to Constant Contact, the online email marketing company we use, their client companies in the retail space report an average of 10% for an Open Rate, and 8.84% for a Click Through Rate (CTR).  

 

Other similar services, such as Hub Spot and Mail Chimp, report as follows:

 

Hub Spot: 23% Open Rate, 8.53% CTR

 

Mail Chimp: 18.39% Open Rate, 2.25% CTR

 

Our results:

 

35% Open Rate, 20% CTR
