Of Taste and Trust

The Annual Meat Conference offered a perfect opportunity for our clients at Del Terruño to show their grass-fed beef to the right audience. This year’s show was held in Nashville, Tennessee, on March 2-March 4. Representatives from the most important wholesalers were in attendance, and they were interested in looking at the best ways to beat their competitors and meet the needs of their increasingly demanding markets.

We were not selling to the final consumer, and we had to keep in mind what matters to the wholesaler, including availability, reliability and POS support. We focused on pushing the 100% grass-fed beef’s unique features – it’s single sourced, totally transparent and traceable from farm-to-fork and raised at family-owned and operated ranches in Uruguay, South America. An important visitor, who shall remain unnamed, made a comment that proved us right – he stood in front of the booth and asked Del Terruño USA representative, Maria Stearns, to clarify and expand on every single one of the claims made on the copy…

The booth included streaming video that backed up the claims highlighted on the headlines.
