Why, oh why?


…is our agency called “Inside Out Communications”?

 

Let me start by telling you that it used to be considered rather strange not naming your agency with the partners’ last names. So that was the second bold move. (The first one was leaving a perfectly good job and starting my own agency.) So why the name?

 

You must have had this experience, too – calling a store because you saw a great ad that caught your attention, but nobody knew what you were talking about. The ad campaign had launched but the store employees had not a clue. Needless to say they had not been trained on how to respond to inquiries.

 

Our obsession at Inside Out is that when it comes to communications in general, including marketing communications, your first audience, your most critical one, is your inside audience. Your own people. Finding the right way to get them involved and make them feel that they are part of it, before you go “out,” pays huge dividends.
