The Mount Auburn Hospital employee fundraising campaign

In 2006, Mount Auburn Hospital decided to commit resources to a far-reaching employee-giving campaign. The objective was to garner financial commitments that would total approximately $250,000 over the course of three years. In the first year, the objective established for the entire campaign has already exceeded expectations. Monies raised or committed have totaled in excess of $360,000.


The overall theme of the campaign, I’m Part of It, works well with the hospital’s inclusive, participatory philosophy and emphasizes the pride and sense of belonging that differentiate this institution. Mount Auburn Hospital employees, representing every division of the hospital, were used as models.
Communication materials included email templates, personalized commitment forms, brochures, posters, table tents, and coffee sleeves.
Yes, this campaign had legs that were strong enough to venture into the electronic domain, too! The Inside Out web department developed an e-mail template that the Development Office could use for all their campaign communications, including updates, even announcements and contests.
Shout it from the rooftops–ooops, we mean, from the table tops. At the cafeteria, the same message of proud commitment greeted employees.

We had four versions of this poster—in some locations, such as the main campus large cafeteria, all four versions were used; in other locations only one was used. Table tents and coffee sleeves were distributed to all cafeteria and break room locations. No matter what time a Mount Auburn employee was at their job, they would be reminded of the campaign, whenever they ate a meal, or had a coffee break.
