AmExpo was around the corner, and Deb Kling had to make the decision - would Lenze-AC Tech follow the example of most instrumentation and motion control companies that cancelled their appearance as exhibitors at the trade show because of the poor economy or would they march to their own drummer?

As Marketing Manager for the Uxbridge- based A C Technology, a division of German company Lenze, Kling balanced the pros and cons. And attended the show. She expected to get maybe 20 or 30 leads. The team returned home with 80 well-qualified ones. "Because of the poor economy," the competition was not there. But show attendance was still relatively high anyway, and motion control is an issue closely related to efficiency, cost-effective operations, competitive packaging options.
